I have a tye dye tshirt that is a rainbow of colors. It is a good thing that it is because it now has a splash of red on it. Woodland in Spring red, to be exact. Nice. It always seems that whenever I am dyeing yarn, red seems to be the one that gets EVERY.WHERE!
I am working on a Felicity hat for an IRL friend. She saw one that I recently made (down below) and wanted it. So that is on my needles right now in white, pink, and black.
I am also working on the mate to a sock that I am knitting for a customer. And I have officially and successfully taught my youngest to crochet a chain. She has been dilgently at work for the past 30 to 40 minutes. She did start off wanting to work on knitting, but her level of frustration limited any more progress.
Dinner is here for the young'uns and the hubby. I am having a bowl of Lucky Charms. Because I can.

Quite embarassed to admit....

That I totally lost the email address under which I have this account until it finally came to me at this very moment.
I am still knitting. Socks, mostly. I have been having a good time with it, actually. I will post pictures soon. I promise.
But what I have been doing a lot more of than knitting is yarn dyeing. Trim dyeing, in fact. For Morwenna at Mosaic Moon. She had asked if there would be interest in trim dyeing amongst our congo of artisans, and I jumped at the opportunity.
I have been dyeing Cestari, BFL, Gaia of all weights, Targhee, Mountain Meadow rambo, three-ply and one-ply Uruguay merinos. I have dyed pinks, purples, blues, reds, oranges, greens, browns, golds... you name. Everything under the sun. Except black. Haven't gotten that one mastered yet.
I am working on finishing a coop right now and working on getting a smaller one finished up to be shipped out next week. Then on to two smaller coops, and then a smallish medium one before I take on a larger one a in a few weeks. It is keeping me busy.
Teaching part-time at two universities has also been taking some time. Add three kids, their schedules, and a newly unemployed husband, you have the makings of a very interesting life right now.
But its all good.
Its my mantra. I keep repeating it. Over and over.
Its all good. And it feels good to blog again.
